Gold is a fun medium with which to work. My favorite is 18 karat Royal Yellow Gold from Stuller. It just seems to glow and appear magical. Unfortunately, gold is expensive just for playing! I've managed to make myself a few pieces with some special stones and add it as an embellishment when appropriate.
This pendant is 18 Karat with a beautiful Montana Sapphire. Montana Sapphires come in a variety of colors. I used a rolling mill to texturize the gold bar, which adds depth and interest.
